Noe Preciado has grown his Los Angeles-based business Millennial Threadz with the help of Ricoma’s single-head and four-head commercial embroidery machines. After noticing a high demand for custom hats and gear, he scaled his machinery from a white toner transfer printer to a four-head commercial embroidery machine. In this video we meet Noe Preciado, owner of Millennial Threadz in Los Angeles, CA. Noe explains how he got a modest start in custom apparel with white toner transfer printing, before deciding to upgrade to more advanced embroidery projects. He explains why he chose Ricoma’s MT-1501 as his first embroidery machine, and how it helped him to impress his friends and clients with intricate embroidered hats and other gear.

He then explains why he decided to upgrade to Ricoma’s four-head commercial machine, and how it helped him to expand his business even further. He also discusses how he evolved from word-of-mouth marketing to developing a web and social media presence to gain new clients.

Noe goes on to talk about the benefits of doing his own digitizing in-house with Ricoma’s industry-leading Chroma software. He also discusses plans to upgrade his machine to a 12-head to take on the additional business he’s gained over time, and offers his advice for new embroiderers just starting out on their journeys.
